Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Lhasa (3,650m) & Acclimatization

Arrive at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or by train. Meet our guide and transfer to the hotel. Rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. Enjoy a welcome dinner with Tibetan cuisine.

Day 2 : Explore Lhasa – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Street

Visit Potala Palace, the iconic winter palace of the Dalai Lama. Explore Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet. Stroll through Barkhor Street, a lively market with Tibetan handicrafts. Evening free for relaxation or additional sightseeing.

Day 3 : Sera & Drepung Monastery Tour

Morning visit to Drepung Monastery, once the world’s largest Buddhist monastery. Afternoon at Sera Monastery, famous for its unique monk debates. Evening leisure time to explore more of Lhasa.

Day 4 : Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake (3,950m)

Scenic drive through the Kamba La Pass (4,790m). Visit Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s most beautiful turquoise lakes. Explore Gyantse Dzong and Kumbum Stupa, two historical landmarks. Continue to Shigatse for an overnight stay.

Day 5 : Shigatse to Rongbuk Monastery (5,000m) – Near Everest Base Camp

Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama. Drive through scenic mountain passes (Gyatso La 5,248m). Arrive at Rongbuk Monastery, the world’s highest monastery. Enjoy the first view of Mount Everest (8,848m). Overnight stay near Everest Base Camp (EBC).

Day 6 : Sunrise at Everest Base Camp & Return to Shigatse

Early morning sunrise over Mount Everest. Explore the Everest Base Camp area for incredible views. Drive back to Shigatse, retracing the scenic route. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 7 : Return to Lhasa via the Friendship Highway

Scenic drive back to Lhasa, passing through Tibetan villages. Optional stops for sightseeing along the way. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 8 : Departure from Lhasa

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or train station for departure.
